The Textones Vinyl Record Albums The Textones were a Southern California power pop/punk band formed in 1979 by Carla Olson and future Go-Go's bassist Kathy Valentine. The Textones released a few singles in the early 1980s for IRS records (one of which, penned by Valentine called "Vacation" would later be a hit for the Go-Go's when recorded in 1982). Valentine left the group in 1980 to join the Go-Go's. The Textone's major-label debut was "Midnight Mission" for A&M records in 1984. Their follow-up album "Cedar Creek" appeared in 1987 on Enigma Records. The band dissolved in 1988. |
