The Inmates Vinyl Record Albums UK garage rock/pub rock group formed late 70's with a short peak in the early 80's but a decades long career. Hit the charts 1979 with their first single, a cover of "Dirty Water", a 60's garagerock classic by The Standells. This single was followed by two albums very much in the vain of Dr. Feelgood and also produced by their producer Vic Maile. Then lead singer Bill Hurley had to take a break and the group never reached the same level of succes and attention, though they have continued to perform and release sporadically.
