Slipknot Vinyl Record Albums Nu-Metal (Modern Rock) band from Des Moines, Iowa (USA). Founded by percussionist Shawn Crahan and bassist Paul Gray in 1995. They changed a lot of members in their first couple of years and their name changed a couple of times, too. Name "Slipknot" was brought up by Jordison. Slipknot are 9 members; after the death of Paul Gray on May 24, 2010 and Jordison's departure shortly before the announcement of .5: The Gray Chapter, Alessandro Venturella and Jay Weinberg were brought in to fill in for the two respectively.
