Planxty Vinyl Record Albums Formed in 1972 by Donal Lunny, Andy Irvine, Christy Moore and Liam O'Flynn, the band broke up in 1975 , but reformed in July, 1979. They did their first British tour in the Spring of 1973 after releasing "The Cliffs of Doneen."
