Finbar Furey Vinyl Record Albums Plays the Irish Uillean Pipes, Whistles, banjo and guitar as well as being a singer/songwriter. Finbar Furey's career began in the 1960s playing with his brother Eddie. The brothers performed with The Clancy Brothers at the end of the decade. In 1976, he joined his brothers and family friend Davey Arthur to become The Fureys & Davey Arthur (later The Fureys). He left the Fureys in 1996 to launch a solo career. Son of Ted Furey; brother of Paul Furey, Eddie Furey and George Furey; father of Martin Furey, Áine Furey, Caitriona, Robert and Finbar. |
