Real Name: Dennis Posa US-American actor and singer born in Freeport, New York. [28 October 1946 -- 28 January 1985]. Parker is best known as an actor who successfully transitioned from adult films to mainstream TV shows. Under the name Wade Nichols he starred in numerous pornographic films (including "Take Off") prior to taking the role of Detective Mallory on the ABC daytime soap opera "The Edge of Night" (1979-84). As a singer, he recorded one disco album, produced by Jacques Morali. Parker contracted AIDS and died in early 1985. His death is rumored to have been a suicide.
