Corrosion Of Conformity Vinyl Record Albums Corrosion of Conformity started in June of 1982 as a US hardcore punk act who expanded their sound and incorporated thrash metal for their groundbreaking 1985 release "Animosity". "Animosity" went on to become one of the first metal/punk crossover records. COC sound evolved further in the 1990s, journeying into a more stoner and southern inspired metal direction. COC are still actively touring and recording today.
