A. R. Kane Vinyl Record Albums Multi-instrumentalist band that invented Dream Pop. The name derived from the "A" in Alex (Ayuli) and the "R" in Rudi (Tambala), the band's core duo. A.R. Kane ushered in two significant musical movements in England: "sampladelic" dance and house music, where it remains an integral part of rave culture and its outgrowths. They also exerted a profound sonic influence on the legion of trippy Shoegazer guitar bands that would emerge a few years later in the UK, as well as running H.ark!.
