The Persuasions Vinyl Record Albums A cappella group from Brooklyn, NY, dating back to the mid-1960s. 1970 album debut on the initiative of Frank Zappa. Had their prime recording career in the 70's with such albums as the 1977 "Chirpin" that was awarded the maximum 5 stars in The Rolling Stones Album Guide. Included in line-up over time: Jerry Lawson, Joe 'Jesse' Russell, Jayotis Washington, Herbert 'Toubo' Rhoad, Jimmy 'Bro' Hayes, Bernard “B.J.” Jones.
