The Brothers Johnson Vinyl Record Albums

Soul-funk-jazz-disco band formed in 1975 in Los Angeles, California, U.S.A. Led by brothers George Johnson and Louis Johnson. Initially their line-up included their cousin Alex Weir . Started as backing musicians of Bobby Womack, Billy Preston etc. Quincy Jones brought them to prominenece using them in his album "Mellow Madness". They have recorded eight albums between 1976 - 1988. Famous for their disco smash "Stomp" and their cover of Shuggie Otis' classic "Strawberry Letter 23".
